Australian Christina Sáenz de Santamaría has won the prestigious depth competition The Caribbean Cup in Roatan, Honduras. In a close competition Christina won the overall women’s competition, beating closest rival, Ashley Chapman of the USA, by only 1 point. Christina equalled her Australian record of 80m in the constant weight (CWT) discipline, winning both that and the free immersion (FIM) disciplines and coming third in the no fins (CNF) discipline. The men’s division was also closely contested with Russian Alexey Molchanov taking out the overall men’s competition over New Zealand’s William Trubridge.
